Jimmy D. Long, Jr. is a well-known Louisiana estate planning attorney in practice since 1990. Jimmy graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in history. He earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans.
Jimmy is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Administration by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. This means have taken and passed successfully a written examination in estate planning topics, and I have practiced estate planning more than 5 years, and at least 35% of my practice focuses on estate planning. I am also required to carry at least $1,000,000 in malpractice insurance for the benefit of my clients.
Jimmy is admitted to practice before all Louisiana Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Jimmy and his wife Mary live in Natchitoches with their three daughters, where they are active in their church and community.
